A Holiday Reflection

¡Feliz Navidad
y

Feliz Año Nuevo

a nuestra familia y nuestros amigos!

We hope everyone had a blessed, safe and peaceful Christmas, and that you happily ended the year of 2008 with no regrets!

We were fortunate enough to have two weeks off from work (hence the gap in our blog posts), and we took many pictures to remember our experiences with family and friends.

We hope you enjoy them...

Our first real Christmas tree in lights.

Our family.

Annabelle's Christmas.

Volunteer work at the soup kitchen Christmas Eve.

Why can't I get him to do this at home?

Christmas day with the Stratton family.

Shawn's Brave gear; Annabelle's new coat

Mom Stratton and me posing with our gifts.

Dad Stratton and Heather with gifts (we're in there too...can you find us?)

A Christmas visit with Gramps.

New Year's Eve...pre-date.

New Year's Eve with my hubby...dinner and a movie (Bedtime Stories).

It's what we do best...EAT!

New Year's dinner: Cornish game hen, stuffing, greens, black eyed's, dinner rolls, and "Champagne."
(my first home-made holiday dinner!)

Welcome 2009!

The soup kitchen was in South Carolina...and it was truly a great way to share happiness and laughter during the holidays. I'm so quick to forget how blessed Shawn and I really are, so it was an eye-opener!
